FINALLY!!!   Its been about 2 months since my last post about all my questions on my 2000 GMC JIMMY.   I was looking to do a front brake swap to be able to mount some lift spindles. It worked PERFECTLY!  Replaced my 2000 jimmy brakes with 2000 S10 brakes.  It was very straight forward!  Strip the stock brakes down to bare upper /  lower arms and replace with the S10 gear.

*  AIM 3" lift spindle.
*  2000 S10 2wd, v6 rotors.
*  2000 S10 2wd, v6 calipers.
*  2000 S10 2wd, v6 Inner / Outer front wheel bearings w/ inner seal & outer cap.
* 2000 S10 2wd, v6 spindle washers / nutzzz.
* AIM extended braided brake lines.
*  ( not pictured )  2000 S10 2wd, v6, dust shields W/ ABS sensor
* Lots of grease, and a little bit of time....

*  AIM 3" lift spindle on the left.  ( For those of you who said the AIM spindle was not beefy, r u BLIND!  This thing was built WAY strong and SUPER DUPER BEEFY! ) Stock GMC Jimmy Spindle / Hub assembly on the right.

The brake swap went very smooth thanks to my buddy Mario. ( He is fitting a LT kit to his Blazer as you are reading this, its gonna be sick! )  But it did take all day. After the swap,  drove the truck to a local wheelworks for a quick alignment. Also had to cut some off the fenders to make a lil more tire room.  Waited a couple of days for more parts to come in the mail and got to work putting them in.  This is a shot of the rest of the parts.

*  PRE cut.
*  POST cut.
*  Upper arms.
*  3"  Lift coil
*  Rancho  RS5000 shocks.    (  2000 chevy silverado 1500  )
*  Custom shackles.   (  cut and welded in about 2 hours in my garage, roughly 7.5 inches eye to eye.  Lifted rear about 2.5 inches.  )

    THE MOMENT WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR ........   THE BEFORE AND AFTERS  ! ! ! !

*    FIRST       2" BL,  32" Mickey Thompsons

*   SECOND      3" AIM lift spindle,  Custom shackle,  Extended brake lines.

*   THIRD      3" Lift coils,  Tube upper arms,  Rancho  RS5000  shocks ( silverado 1500 )

*   FOURTH      Glassworks Unlimited front glass and weld up a custom bumper.
    (  Not yet here but will be finished within the next two weeks here,  i'll post some pics when this is FINALLY DONE!!!  )

Thanks for taking a look at all the work i have done up to this point, This forum has been a huge help with all my questions.  Thanks guys for all the help.  This build was  NOT  meant for any serious offroad / desert  use.   This truck is my daily driver and was built on a small budget $......  LT kit was in no way part of the budget.   *  a  lil   WARNING  * Short arm kits are  VERY  stiff and do not provide much travel  but work well if you are looking for some extra inches for not much $.
Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks for the nice words.....  The swap was really easy just took some time.  Was also pretty cheap.  I was gonna scrounge the local junk yards but when I found how cheap the parts were new i just went that route instead.   For the brake parts in the first picture it all came out to about   $230 total   for all the parts and hardware.  I just can't wait to fit my glass fenders up.  It will really complete the look.    The most $  was the stupid  F@CKING brake lines that ended up   LEAKING!!!!   So I had to run to the autopart store and find one that was long enough with a close enough fit. I still had to make a brass adapter fot the line to the hard line.  Funny thing is the only line i could find that was close enough fittings with the right lenth was for a 2003-2007 lexus / camry.  Go figure right.  $60 braided line gets replaced by a $13 lexus line and it worked just as good!

Yeah the lines were from AIM..... I was sooo angry!  They told me they are DOT approved, is this not true?  Has anyone else heard this?   Sent those back and am now temporarily running some sweet  lexus / camry lines for now. Just had to make an adapter from the line to hardline, and they were 20" long......    :D
